Funding Your Coinbase Account

If you are here, you should have a Coinbase account already set up. If you don't, go back to the Coinbase set up tutorial before proceeding.

Note that if you already have a Coinbase account with funds already in it, go to the second video below to prepare the funds for depositing into DSJ.

If you don't have funds in your Coinbase account - continue...

You will be using the funds in your Coinbase account to fund your DSJ account.

There are a couple ways to get funds into Coinbase -

1. You can wire money from your bank into Coinbase, or
2. you can deposit money from your bank account.

When you set up Coinbase, you would have been asked to add a payment method, if you did that, then your bank is connected and you can easily deposit money from your bank into Coinbase.

If you choose wiring, you will be able to use your funds within 1-2 days.
If you choose to deposit directly from your connected bank, you will be able to use your funds within 5 days.

Note that your bank will charge a wiring fee if you choose to wire. The video below shows you how to find the wiring info to give to your bank.

How to deposit funds into Coinbase by depositing from your bank account that you connected to Coinbase during the sign up process:

Look for a big deposit button in your Coinbase account and you will see your bank as an option to deposit from, follow the instructions from there.

Also note that if you are depositing $500 (which is the minimum to qualify for awards, earnings and certain bonuses), you will need to deposit $530 to cover conversion fees.
